Introducing two new personal protein detection systems
Speaker: Mike Yarski PhD, Proteomics Product Manager
Join Millennium Science as we show you two new technologies that will allow you to detect your proteins in an instant. From ForteBio (now part of Pall Life Sciences) – The BLItz™ packs the power of label-free, real-time analysis into an easy to use personal assay system small enough to fit on the palm of your hand. Applications include: protein quantification, protein binding kinetics and measurement of molecular interactions and all from 4 microliters of volume.
You can forget about the darkroom. LI-COR Biosciences launches the new c-DiGit - digital film for chemiluminescence western blots, learn how one scan equals multiple exposures on your bench instantly. It’s so affordable you can buy it right away.
Understanding Protein Stability and Aggregation: Conformations, Challenges and Cutting-edge Tools
Speaker: Nafisa Wright PhD, Downstream Processing Specialist, Pall Biopharmaceuticals
Therapeutic protein conformation and aggregation state are affected by bioprocessing conditions, formulation and storage. Maintaining the higher order structure of a protein and preventing aggregation is vital to the efficacy and safety of a biopharmaceutical. The biophysical toolbox covering myriad technologies, some old and others cutting-edge, is widely used to study the conformational and aggregation stability of proteins, as orthogonal techniques are required to fully understand a protein’s behavior in response to the stresses it encounters. Additionally, the interaction of ligands with proteins can affect their thermal stability and this emerging application can enable investigators to validate small molecule drug lead binding to the target protein.
